My original title for this entry was "Well aren't you cool Ms.Hipster who drinks red wine out of goblets that weigh more than her";but it was too long. I don't understand what is so fashionable about drinking red wine and chain smoking? It all sounds like an insincere bull shit version of Smashed by Koren Zailckas. These kids who drink and smoke think they really understand the world when they understand absolutely NOTHING. They discuss Plath actually thinking that they are connecting with her when they really connect with nothing. They WANT to connect with Plath because she was a tortured soul and they fancy themselves to be tortured souls. Why? Because they don't want to admit to being failures. They need something to blame their being pathetic on when they are the ones to blame. so they'll drink red wine because they're "sophisticated" and smoke because it's "edgy". They are truly sad and alone.
